👑 ประเพณีตักบาตรขนมครก ณ วัดแก่นจันทน์เจริญ ตำบลบางพรม อำเภอบางคนที จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม
เป็นประเพณีของชาวตำบลบางพรม ที่วัดแก่นจันทร์เจริญ, ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นทุกวันขึ้น 8 ค่ำ เดือน 10 ของทุกปี ได้จัดงานสืบทอดกันมากว่า 85 ปี เริ่มตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ 2473 มีกิจกรรมต่างๆ เช่น การสาธิตวิธีการโม่แป้งแบบโบราณ, การแข่งขันกีฬาพื้นบ้าน เช่น วิ่งวิบากขนมครก, ขูดมะพร้าว ขนมครกลีลา, เป็นต้น
ในวันที่ 10 กันยายน 2567 เวลา 07.00 – 14.30น.

🔸 The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting the “Khanom Krok' (coconut pudding) Alms Giving Tradition” at Wat Kaenchan Charoen on September 10.

This centuries-old tradition revolves around offering traditional Thai-style coconut pudding, a sweet snack made from flour and coconut milk, to monks. The event is more than just a religious act; it's a celebration of local culture and community.

Visitors can witness traditional crafts like coconut grating and flour milling, as well as enjoy folk performances and traditional sports competitions.

✦ The highlight of the event is the khanom krok-making process, which is believed to have symbolic significance for love and relationships.

The tradition has been held at Wat Kaenchan Charoen, Samut Songkhram province for over 85 years, starting in 1930, and is a testament to the enduring spirit of the local community.

ขนมครก: Khanom krok or coconut-rice pancakes or mortar toasted pastry, is a traditional Thai dessert.
They are prepared by mixing rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk to form a dough.

✦ Usually, khanom krok is composed of two batters, one salty and one sweet, both of which are cooked in a heating mantle, a hot indented frying pan.
After heating, khanom krok is picked out of the mantle and the two half-circular doughs formed into a circular shape.
